British-born Outlaw/Americana artist, claims he was ‘born on the wrong continent.’ With Outlaw ways running deep in his veins, he conveys a musical style that is far from European.
Hailing from Southampton, England but spending the majority of his life between Portugal and Devon (UK), he has a natural draw to life on the road. Although British born, Daniel prides himself on showcasing tones from his American influences. His warm, gruff voice and style portray the sounds of the early Outlaw singers, just as if you’ve stepped back in time, in a saloon in the Midwest or a smoky bar with sawdust floors.
Daniel’s live performance is stripped down to just two creating a unique touring duo that is far from textbook or ordinary. Daniel on main vocals, guitar, kick drum, harmonica, with his musical partner Jean Christian Houde, backing him on double bass, hi-hat, and vocals; the set-up delivers a massive sound, mimicking that of a full band, and distinctively displaying the conviction of true Outlaws.
Daniel has released two EP’s and a digitally released single in late 2013 and 2014, respectively, and has just come back from Nashville, TN where he was working on his first full length album. Daniel and a team of highly skilled musicians and producers are recording the new album at world-renowned Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, with a projected release date of early 2016.
