What would ‘Con Air’ look like chewed up and spat out by comedians, theatremakers, writers and musicians?

We’ve stuck our artists on a high security prison airplane with some of America’s most dangerous criminals and tasked them with toughing out the ride, then performing a creative response about their experience. Come and see the glorious results!

Watch as our acts distort a Nicolas Cage-starring action crime film into something ridiculous, beautiful or unrecognisable for your viewing pleasure. We have entrusted each one of them with a chunk of the film to re-enact, riff around, mash up or explode. There’s no way of telling what will happen!

FLIM NITE is a monthly experimental performance night based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. We were founded at the legendary Three Minute Theatre and will move to the upstairs of Gullivers for our November show!

We will not be showing a movie. We will be making a FLIM.

There are THREE open mic slots available! Email us at flimnitemanchester@gmail.com for a slot. Slots are three minutes long and material must be ‘Con Air’-related. Remember it’s flim as in FLIM and nite as in NITE. Got it?
