In March 2020 we had to cancel our screening of this exploitation classic because of COVID-19, but you can’t keep the sadistic Ilsa down for ever. So, here she is, diabolical as ever, with Dyanne Thorne returning to her role as the sadistic Ilsa following the notorious Ilsa She Wolf of the SS the previous year.

With her two black amazon kung-fu lesbian enforcers, Ilsa manages the harem of depraved sheik El Sharif, kidnapping famous beauties to enslave them, breaking them in to satisfy the perverted lust of her boss. Ilsa is ruthless. When an American secret agent arrives, masquerading as a diplomat’s assistant, Ilsa becomes infatuated, much to El Sharif’s disapproval. The sheik’s punishment is brutal, pushing Ilsa over the edge and switching sides to get her bloody revenge.

The second of the Ilsa trilogy (sandwiched between Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS and Ilsa, Tigress of Siberia), Don Edmonds outrageously entertaining slice of sleaze still packs a punch, despite the many unintentional laughs along the way. Just when you think things can’t get more depraved, anther inventively cruel torture is played out with camp gusto.

This grindhouse classic is packed with middle-eastern stereotypes, subservient eunuchs, brute women, gratuitous nudity, explosive sex (literally) and graphic violence. But most of all, it’s Dyanne Thorn’s wonderful over-the-top performance that proves to be the jewel in the belly-button.
