We present you the rather famous Hungarian Heavy Metal Band, KALAPACS! The band got it’s name from the lead singer’s surname (Jozsef Kalapacs), which translates to ‘Hammer’ in English and also symbolizes the genre of the Band, HEAVY METAL. Kalapacs was born in 2000, and consists of four other members (Istvan Beloberk-Bass, Zsolt Beloberk-Drumm, Lajos Sarkozi-Guitar, Laszlo Weisz- Guitar) all previously playing in other heavy metal bands. The first album was released the same year the band was formed, and they have continously been releasing them ever since. Kalapacs has had 14 albums since 2000, 2 of them became Gold Records. This fantastic band is now coming to Manchester on 17th november to show you how Hungarians play Heavy Metal!
