KUMIKO With guests ORANJE & IDLE HOURS

Please note this is an 18+ event

Black Isle Music presents

Kumiko are a softly spoken Northern four-piece who fuse elements of jazz and indie in wistful,
angular songs. Formed in 2015, they take inspiration from the likes of Radiohead, St Vincent,
tUnE-yArDs and Billie Holiday.
They have recently received airplay on Radios 1 and 6 and can most often be found watching
pretentious films and drinking Lambrini.
‘Thoughtful, confident and VERY special (…) Gorgeously combines elements of jazz, indie-slackness and
beautifully imagined instrumentation with thoughtful lyrics and fantastic female vocals.’

Orange Formed in February 2017, they have exploded onto the Ipswich music scene with their ‘Dirty
indie tunes with vibes of Wolf Alice, Foo Fighters and rough slithers of Foals’. Despite starting
out as four friends having a bit of fun and their relatively short time together as a band, Oranje
have played countless, packed out shows in the local area where they have built an ever-growing fan base

Idle hours are a four-piece indie band inspired by Blur, Bloc Party and Arctic Monkeys. Hailing from Manchester; Jack, Tom, Alex and Jimmy met at university in 2017, and have gone on to perform Night People, The Eagle Inn, o2 Ritz and Jimmy’s at this early stage of their career. Blending catchy, surf pop influenced sounds with hard-hitting, down to the bone lyrics, Idle Hours are ready to take on Manchester’s finest.
