The only son of a single mother, Micheál Jacob was raised by his mum and his aunts in a seaside village in Ireland. He never knew his father. Moving to London when he was 14, Micheál launched into the folk music scene, worked in journalism and public relations, and then became a sitcom script editor, producer and executive producer. His shows include Birds of a Feather, Goodnight Sweetheart, The Smoking Room, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, and My Family. Since moving to Manchester he has been script editing radio dramas and become a storyteller. The show covers the highlights and lowlights of a varied life.
