The Manchester Anthology 2017 is a collection of creative work from the talented poets and fiction writers who studied the Creative Writing Masters at the University of Manchester’s Centre for New Writing, 2016-17. The anthology, which contains an introduction from award-winning science fiction novelist Geoff Ryman, will be following up its initial launch event at The Anthony Burgess Foundation with a second event at Gullivers Lounge in the Northern Quarter on Saturday 9th September. Sure to be a thrilling night, you can expect readings from some of the top new writers-to-watch, including some who have already won prizes for their work, as well as an opportunity to pick up your own copy of the anthology. Being in one of Manchester’s friendliest bars, you’ll also be able to meet and talk to some of the writers about what doing the MA was like, and what we can expect from them in the future. Prepare for a relaxing and fascinating evening.
