Influenced by the likes of Billie Marten, Joshua Burnside and Lizzy McAlpine, Róise‘s music is defined by its captivating vocals and contemplative, self-aware lyricism, making it profoundly relatable to her generation. Currently based between her hometown of Belfast and Manchester and raised in a musical family, she played violin in orchestras and sang in choirs, before discovering a new direction in her early teens – sitting at the piano to sing pop songs. From there she picked up ukulele and guitar and learnt to play her favourites by ear. Songwriting followed naturally, becoming a therapeutic outlet that offered comfort and clarity through the challenges of her teenage years. Over the last year Róise has built a large following online with her acoustic covers of classic pop songs, and now with the release of her debut EP “Television”, Róise will be bringing the songs to life on stage with her first official headline shows.
