Deco Records presents tAngerinecAt w/ Slow Knife, Tin Mole, Factory Acts + Otis Jordan

Please note this is an 18+ event

Stunning lead hurdy-gurdy with effect pedals, fierce yet tender vocals, floaty flutes, massive drone bass and DIY samples seamlessly combine with industrial-rave beats, anarchist political views and piercing vulnerability in an utterly captivating show.

The nomadic duo tAngerinecAt was formed in 2008 in Ukraine as a collaboration between Ukrainian Eugene Purpurovsky and English Paul Chilton. Inspired by their studies, travels and music experiences in remote parts of the Carpathian Mountains, their music has also absorbed different forms of Ukrainian and Soviet counterculture.

They have four independently released, successfully selling albums that have had airplay on BBC 2, BBC 3 and BBC 6. The band has toured internationally in Ukraine, UK and Russia

“tAngerinecAt brought not just synth to the table, but a whole range of physical, classical instruments into the mix – most noticeably their use of the hurdy-gurdy, to make their music the deep notes of severe doom and dread that gave it the feeling of a rave in a mausoleum…”- Ben Knight, LEFTLION

“Watch out for: tAngerinecAt… this is some of the most powerful music I have heard in a long time…” – LOUDER THAN WAR

“I’ve never seen someone play a hurdy-gurdy so punk…”
– DEVIL’S DYKE NETWORK
