Not a typical Manchester band, The Slow Day have a unique, bold sound. You’re far more likely to hear echoes of Jimi Hendrix, Mudhoney, The Black Keys and Gary Clark Jr. in the smoky, blues-inspired rock than any stereotypical indie chord progression. 
 The trio consist of Paul Barker, drums, Chris Adams, bass and Adam Moss, vocals and guitar, and formed at a stag party under a Manchester railway arch after “a few too many pints of craft ale” in the late summer of 2018. 
 They’ve recently been described and hailed by one acclaimed music journalist: “If there’s any Manchester band worth getting excited about in 2020, it’s The Slow Day with their anthemically polished sound. Their name is criminally deceptive.”
