A terrorist group steals a top-secret formula that can cause plant and animal life to grow to giant size. But during a shoot-out the formula is lost. It is found by a little girl who feeds the formula to her pet snake, which then grows, and grows, and grows. Like any good pet, it continues to follow her and protect her. When the terrorists go after the girl, the (now giant) snake turns nasty, and all hell breaks loose. Time to bring in the big guns!

A re-edit of the monster movie Da She Wang (Taiwan 1987) spliced with added footage by Godfrey Ho (Scorpion Thunderbolt), the result is a fast-paced, crazy, action science fiction monster epic with shades of Godzilla and ET. With a soundtrack stolen from other films, haphazard editing, terrible dubbing, and truly unspectacular special effects, Thunder of Gigantic Serpent is great fun, complete with a tear-jerk ending.
