UK COUNTRY LIVE! PRESENTS RAINTOWN

Please note this is an 18+ event

Multi Award-winning Scottish duo RAINTOWN are back in Manchester – with their full band – for a live performance on Friday 9th June 2017.  They are heading to ‘GULLIVERS’ and are excited to be bringing their intensely charismatic and critically- acclaimed live show back to Manchester. This concert is presented by UK Country Live!

Raintown have shown that talent, ambition and honesty can still prevail in an ever changing music industry. They deliver a startling take on UK contemporary country that is both firmly-rooted and unashamedly forward-thinking. This is NOT your twangy traditional country but a fresh, modern and dynamic sound from an act that are not afraid of doing something left of centre e.g. their phenomenal cover of BLUE’s ‘One Love!’

‘Writing on the Wall’ – their 5 star rated album – captures the raw energy, chemistry and spirit of their live shows.  On stage is where Raintown truly come alive, with a polished mix of bright, guitar-led, Country/Pop, up-tempo Celtic Rock and melodic heartfelt ballads; all arranged around the superb harmonies of two voices that were born to mesh.

Paul Bain and Claire McArthur-Bain, are more than just a love story, they fuse their passion for Country Music with their eclectic musical influences and continue the tradition of exciting new music to emerge from Glasgow. Their electrifying live performances and sensational new music have elevated this impressive duo to new heights and cemented their place as one of the UK’s leading ‘new breed’ of Country acts alongside the likes of The Shires and Ward Thomas.

They supported Scottish music legends Runrig at the iconic O2 Shepherds Bush Empire last year and will return this year to London’s O2 Arena – to continue their run as the only UK act – to perform at all of the C2C: Country2Country music events. With a set list that will include the award winning ‘Nineteen Again,’ the sing-a-long ear candy that is, ‘If this was a Love Song,’ the tragic heartbreaker ‘Forever Isn’t Long Enough’ and the foot stomping anthem ‘Shut the Front Door,’ it is sure to be a fantastic evening of live music that you will not want to miss.
