Victoria Cook

THREE GUESTS (A COMEDIAN/A MUSICIAN/A POLITICIAN) share their personal experiences/anecdotes on the topic ‘changes’ in the form of a monologue.

Victoria Cook is a comedian, actor and writer. As an obese, Geordie child with a mullet, Victoria found comedy difficult to relate to. Staying up late to watch Not the Nine O’Clock News was inspiring, if slightly inappropriate for an eight-year-old, on reflection.

In 2011 Victoria won BBC’s Jesting About 2 competition as a sketch writer, which led to performing in the BBC radio sketch show of the same name.

As well as appearing in Hebburn, BBC’s Jesting About  CBBC’s Jedward’s Big Adventure,  Inside Out,The Dog Ate My Homework and All Over The Place Victoria appears as a regular sketch artist and the character Davina Wave on CBBC’s BAFTA nominated news spoof sketch show DNN. She also hosts a music show on BBC Newcastle (Saturday’s 6am-9am).

She no longer has a mullet.
