We are delighted to announce that the 9th Annual Women in Comedy Festival MCR returns in 2022.

We are excited to bring another fantastic programme of shows, across many fantastic venues in Manchester City Centre and continue championing and supporting women in comedy.

Join Jewish Lesbian (Jesbian) Katie Price as she presents Jesbian, a stand up show featuring tales of sexuality, religion and why sometimes, not being for everyone isn’t such a bad thing.

Known for her sharp wit, unique voice and ‘to die for punchlines’ (Steve Bennett, Chortle), she is a rising star on the UK comedy scene. As seen on Channel 4’s Jokes only a Jew Can Tell.

Cattywompus (WIP Split-Show)

One half will be Bexie Archer taking you on a journey through a soft and gentle degeneration for a little nighttime schadenfreude. BBC Writers Comedy Room 2019-20, Winner of the Chortle Student Comedy Award,  and as seen on BBC Three’s ‘Sh*t Happened’. And the other half will be Anna Thomas wombling on about slugs and being a bit daft for a laugh. Winner of the BBC New Comedy Award 2021, and as seen on BBC Wales’ ‘What Just Happened’.
