Hey! Manchester presents Coruja Jones + Hannah Ashcroft

Please note this is an 18+ event

Dreamy, melancholic, indie-folk. Expect beautiful songs with soaring high notes, combined with intricate, delicate guitar work into cavernous reverbs, plus killer grooves, which take aim at your heart. He has gained acclaim from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, and is fresh from touring with Grammy award winning singer-songwriter Joe Jackson.

Coruja Jones is a songwriting project from Manchester (UK) based musician and songwriter Dan Jones. Originally hailing from The West Midlands, he has become embedded in Manchester’s eclectic musical landscape. His debut ‘The Crossing’ was released in April 2020 and he is now on the road in 2022 finally sharing it live, along with songs from his upcoming 2023 EP ‘Undo’, working with producer Sam Vicary (The Cinematic Orchestra).

Supporting will be Hannah Ashcroft.

Born in the North-West of the UK, Hannah Ashcroft is a guitarist, singer and songwriter whose material and live shows have made her an indelible part of the Manchester indie music scene today.

Her prowess on the guitar is equally impressive on the acoustic as the on the electric guitar, and they combine with her beautifully haunting vocals which are at once soft and powerful – creating a sound which effortlessly bridges indie, folk, singer-songwriter and rock. She has gained initial acclaim from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music’s Tom Robinson & Mary Anne Hobbs as well as tastemaker music sites such as Clash, Lock Magazine and Amazing Radio.
