After leaving Ireland for Berlin, after leaving Berlin for Hamburg, and after leaving Hamburg for the murmuring vastness that is London, Sion Hill’s desire for something new is as evident in his music as it is in his change of destination.

Four years on from signing with Hamburg-based indie connoisseurs Clouds Hill and touring Europe with the likes of Peter Doherty, A-ha and Alice Merton, the soul-pop boy has shed his innocence and bought back the rights to new songs from his former record label. What remains is a hopeless romantic trying to find some sort of solace in honesty through his music.

Going back to his roots in Pop, Soul and Rock’n’roll, Sion Hill is finally learning to accept that there are no straight paths in life. Instead he and his sound will continue to “venture into the unknown”, especially with the album that’s set for release next year.
