When your first single blooms to over 12 million views, it’s safe to say you’ve found your sound. Now armed with a second album and looking to a third, The Paper Kites bring their tender folk-rock to Manchester’s Gullivers.

The Melbourne natives’ soft croons and intricate guitar lines saw demo Bloom go viral in 2011, with their acclaimed LP States following. Sparkling with strung-out riffs and lyrics that weigh heavier and hurt harder, tracks like Renegade,taken from new album Twelvefour, have seen the band go from bedroom confessionals to expansive admissions.

With Rolling Stone praising how the album is “optimistically and confidently pushing towards the impending sunrise”, bask in the light of their sweet sounds on October 6th.
